This page explains what personal data taxwellcy.com and our consultations collect, why we need it, who processes it for us and what your rights are under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible
The data controller is Tatiana Gasanova (TaxWell Cyprus), tax consultant, Limassol, Cyprus. Email [email protected], phone +357 9685-8987. Write to this address for any question or request about your data.
What we collect and why
| Data | Why | Legal basis | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Contact and booking details: name, email, phone, the services you select, your messages in the site chat, by email, Telegram or WhatsApp | To answer you and arrange a consultation | Steps you ask us to take before a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) | Up to 2 years after the last contact, if you do not become a client |
| Client information: income, tax identification number, family details and the documents you send us | To prepare tax returns, give advice and file with the Tax Department | Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legal obligations under Cyprus tax law (Art. 6(1)(c)) | For as long as Cyprus tax law requires records to be kept after the work ends |
| Identity documents and client due diligence | Checks required of accountants and tax advisors by the Cyprus anti-money-laundering law | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) | For the period the anti-money-laundering law requires, generally 5 years after the relationship ends |
| Website usage: pages visited, clicks, device and browser, approximate location from your IP address, the site or ad that brought you | To see which pages help people, fix problems and measure whether our ads lead to enquiries | Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) | Up to 24 months |
| Session recordings: how a page is used (clicks, scrolling, page text). What you type into form fields is masked and not recorded | To find and fix errors on the site | Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) | Up to 90 days |
The tax calculator
The amounts you enter in the tax calculator are calculated in your browser and are not sent to us. To improve the calculator we record which steps were completed and the broad category of your answers (for example an income band, residency status or the number of children), never the exact figures.
Who processes data for us
We share data only with the providers that run the site and our communication channels:
| Provider | What for |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Website hosting and security |
| Ripples (ripples.sh) | Website analytics |
| PostHog | Website and calculator analytics |
| Google Ads conversion measurement, including a hashed copy of your email when you book a consultation; Google Calendar and Google Meet for consultations | |
| Sentry (self-hosted) | Error monitoring and session recordings |
| Userport | Live chat on the site; consultation booking |
| Telegram, WhatsApp | Only if you contact us there; their own privacy policies apply |
| Bunny Fonts, jsDelivr | Delivery of fonts and scripts (they receive your IP address) |
Some of these providers (Google, PostHog, Cloudflare) are based in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Cookies and browser storage
Google Ads and PostHog set cookies to recognise a returning browser and to link an ad click to an enquiry. The site also stores three small items in your browser: the page you first landed on (for the chat, deleted when you close the tab), whether you have already contacted us or booked a consultation, and, while you book, the language and services you chose (deleted once the booking is complete). You can delete cookies and block trackers in your browser settings; the site keeps working without them.
What we do not do

- We do not make automated decisions about you.

Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- see the personal data we hold about you and get a copy
- correct it
- delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it
